The project FASIH – Future Art and Science in Industrial Heritage, started with a meeting in the Scientific Club of CPN on March 27 and 28, represents the first project of the Creative Program Europe managed by the Center for the Promotion of Science. The focus is on the industrial heritage of Southeast Europe, around which the thematic framework is woven and central programs are developed activities. Through the language of art, and in conjunction with scientific research and new media, Rijeka, Belgrade and Trbovlje represent the backbone of the story of industrial heritage with its diversity of economic, cultural and scientific layers. FASIH strives to connect modern models of revaluation and revitalization of industrial heritage with the use of innovative digital tools, with the topics of sustainability, environmental protection and technological development now and in the observed time period.
The most important goal of this project is the promotion of the value of cultural, scientific and industrial heritage, important for new generations of users of cultural and artistic content, but also for contemporaries of the era in which industrial complexes were created and the cultural, sociological, economic and demographic trends associated with them.
FASIH focuses on interdisciplinary artistic-scientific research of industrial and cultural heritage through the discovery, research and evaluation of those architectural achievements and immaterial processes that marked the modern history of the three mentioned cities.
