Different colors show displacement sizes that correspond to the first form of deformation of the plate with a hole. In addition to the first form of deformation shown here, the plate can also experience numerous other “higher” or more complex forms of deformation, which mostly depend on the distribution of characteristics such as mass and stiffness throughout the plate itself. A hole in the plate, which often occurs due to the functionality of the structural element, affects the shape of the deformation and causes larger displacements (and larger deformations) on the part of the plate closer to the hole.
